While reading through the Psalms recently, God spoke to me when I reached Psalm 37: 7:

Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him to act.

One of the things that I battle is getting to far out ahead of myself.  My mind is always racing and I get impatient wanting things to happen NOW!  I am sure that everyone deals with this.  There are times in life when you just want God to act and take something difficult away or to give you something you need; but it seems like God is just not in a hurry to do anything.

Everything is done according to God’s plan and we don’t know exactly what that is, but we are comforted in knowing that God has good plans for us:

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Jeremiah 29: 11.
